2011 ICGSA Tennis Scholarship Information

ICGSA is pleased to announce the 2011 Tennis Scholarship. Applications for scholarships are now being accepted. The ICGSA Tennis committee will award a $500.00 scholarship to a college-bound high school female senior who will attend an accredited college or university in the United States. The scholarship will be awarded for the college freshman year only. The scholarship winner must be an individual who exemplifies outstanding leadership qualities on the tennis court and in their school and community. The winner will be selected by the ICGSA tennis committee and announced at the North-South All Star Tennis Tournament in May.

Essay: In a typed, titled, and double-spaced 200-500 words essay, evaluate the ways competing on your high school tennis team allowed you to become a better leader in your school and community. Please attach to the electronic e-mail application.

Letters of recommendation: Include one letter of recommendation from a coach and another from a non-family member. Letters of recommendation should address how the nominee has exhibited the characteristics of leadership and sportsmanship. Letters of recommendation should be

mailed to Bruce Fleming by May 7^th. Please include the players name, school, and position when nominating.
